Join us on Waitangi Day at Whakatū Marae and Founders Heritage Park on Friday, 6 February 2026.

There will be a pōwhiri hosted at Whakatū Marae. If this is your first time visiting Whakatū Marae, please participate in the pōwhiri at 10am

=From 9am, wander through a variety of stalls at both the Marae and Founders Heritage Park. Indulge in traditional foods, cold drinks, and unique arts & crafts.

Enjoy performances by local kapa haka and Pacifica groups. This is a day to connect, reflect on our history and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and enjoy the spirit of community.
